{ DAY 384 } Sydney Surgery
*
It has taken 13 months to get back to this moment… the moment of being able to take #MyGirl 🐕 on daily walks! We have been gently working on this over the last 6 weeks of recovery…x
*
Despite my enthusiastic mind wanting to fill my days with endless cardio bursts to increase my fitness; my body just wont allow it. (Well not quite yet!!) Instead my body says; ”I would really prefer a gentle walk today’ – and I have learnt to listen to this inner voice and know that this polarity is ok! Everything is temporary. Acceptance and patience really is everything in this lifetime x ❤
*
I fly back to Sydney this Sunday for #Round2 of treatment which involves two further surgeries to the #VenousMalformations in my throat/neck/skull – plus an #Endovascular Coiling Repair to the large aneurysm on the left side of my chest/neck -( yep Im googling #AneurysmCoiling as we speak)..😂 These aneurysms were measured by the #Interventional #Radiologist during my last surgery so that the titanium/platinum coils could be made -Much like ordering a car part- ready for fitting at the next service. 😂🚘🚗
*
I bloody cant wait for it to be fixed! Despite my smile the left aneurysm has been giving me a bit of grief over the past few weeks. It is such an odd feeling to feel something within your body ballooning/expanding and pushing on your other organs.
*
I have many memories of growing up with – ‘a weird gripping pain in the left side of my chest’ …it would stop me in my tracks but as it always went away- I just kept on keeping on. Its interesting to now learn that the pain is a direct result of the aneurysm expanding with venous pressure and pushing on my #AorticArch. Def a great lesson in learning to listen to your body …

Once again, I share this info with love and laughter and hope that your 2019 delivers the most beautiful moments for you all. My travel sidekick this time round is my gorgeous Shell Bell Shelley Hamersley x I would be utterly lost without her. Sisters truly are a gift from heaven x ❤❤❤
